Blue Hole Snorkeling

Description:   You leave the dock at approximately 6:00-6:30 a.m.  The boat ride takes about 2-1/2 to 3 hours, to arrive at your destination.  There is something to be said, about traversing the rim of this gigantic sinkhole, looking down deep into the unknown, and floating peacefully atop one of the most sought-after locations in Belize.

For those of you who would like to experience the Blue Hole, but have not yet leaped into diving, snorkeling is a great alternative, and can be your next best option.  Though many have claimed that the snorkeling is better elsewhere, there are those who enjoy the trip for all that it has to offer.  This is a (3) stop snorkeling trip.

Your 1st Stop – The Blue Hole at Lighthouse Reef Atoll – Discovered by Jacque Cousteau in 1973.  Your first stop takes you to the middle of the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, to the outer rim of the Blue Hole.

Your 2nd Stop – Takes you to Half Moon Caye.  Here you will get to do a little snorkeling along the coral edge, and break for a nice beach lunch.  Be sure to look for the red boobie birds, while on shore.

Your 3rd Stop – Takes you to the “The Aquarium”, on Long Caye, where you will also get to do a little more snorkeling along the coral edge.

After you have finished snorkeling all three locations, our boat makes the 2-1/2 hour trek back to San Pedro.  Sit back and enjoy cool refreshing beverages, as you enjoy the ride back to the island.  The boat arrives back into San Pedro about 4:00-4:30 p.m.

Your Snorkeling Tour takes you into the center of Lighthouse Reef Atoll, a 1000-foot circular coral reef that drops over 400 feet into an incredible cavern. It is filled with stalactites and awe inspiring natural formations. Half Moon Caye and the Aquarium/Eagle Ray are teaming with marine life and numerous varieties of colorful corals like sponges, fans, and gorgonians.

Blue Hole Snorkeling Tour starts off as early as 6:00am, departing from our dive center and returning later in the evening at 5:30pm. We make sure everything is in place; gear, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments. We want you to have the time of a lifetime on our full day dive package, which is why we make sure you have a safe and successful day. We prioritize our customers and make sure they are satisfied to the max in every way possible.
You are going to have such an amazing time here in Ambergris Caye!

We prefer merely small groups for all of our tours. Our diving is done on the largest barrier reef in the western hemisphere, the beauty of our reef is unrivaled. For the local dives we take groups of 6 or less and 4 max for instruction.
