Caye Caulker Day Sail

Description:   This is a very popular tour, for those looking to relax and soak up a little sun.  It’s a great tour for families looking for something to do together, and grandparents get a kick out of watching from the side.  This tour leaves the dock about 8:00-8:30 in the morning.  You then leisurely spend the morning sailing along the second largest barrier reef in the world, making our way to Caye Caulker (a sister island).

While aboard, enjoy some local tropical Caribbean music, cold refreshments, and fresh fruit.  If you so choose, the catamaran can stop at Shark Ray Alley, where everyone (who desires can get into the water) and swim with the nurse sharks and sting rays.  This is an exhilarating tour, we recommend not missing this stop.  There are not many places in the world, where you can swim next to nurse sharks, in a relaxed natural environment.  Once back on board, rinse off with fresh water, as we set sail for Caye Caulker.

Upon arriving at Caye Caulker, you will be given a chance to disembark the vessel and take a leisurely stroll through town.  Feel free to stop and grab a bite to eat and do a little window shopping.  About 1-1/2 to 2 hours later, you will make your way back to the boat, for a leisurely sail back to Ambergris Caye.  The sail back to San Pedro is very relaxing, and you will be able to enjoy several complimentary rum punches along the way.  We should be back to the island about 4:00-4:30, giving you enough time to rest and spend the rest of the evening doing what you like.

We start our day off, by leisurely sailing to Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley.  Here you will enjoy a guided snorkeling tour of the marine park.  Shark Ray Alley, has become very popular over the years with all ages.  It has been rated as one of the best dives in the Caribbean, by Skin Diver Magazine.

Our family did this tour, and it was considered one of the highlights of the entire trip.  There are not many places you get to swim with sharks in the world, so take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

We then leisurely sail to the island of Caye Caulker.  Here you will be given about a 2 hour break, to enjoy lunch in any one of the local restaurants, window shop, and explore this quaint little sister island.

After lunch we leisurely sail back to San Pedro.  Our staff will be serving beer, sodas, rum punch, bottled water, fresh fruit and shrimp ceviche as a snack.
