Waterfall Rappelling
Description - Are you ready for the adrenaline rush of the week? Then waterfall rappelling is for you.
Upon arrival to the foothills of the Mayan Mountains, you will meet your guide and receive a short safety briefing, followed by being fitted with equipment. Next is an hour-long strenuous hike up through the rainforest to the top of the 1,000-foot Antelope Falls. This is an intense hike to the top, where you can then enjoy a “jaw-dropping” panoramic view of the rainforest jungle. Once at the top you will have the opportunity to cool off, by taking a brief refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of a natural emerald poo, located at the top of the falls. Take in the breath-taking views, while your guides set up the rappelling ropes. As soon as the ropes are prepared, you’ll be putting on your knee and elbow pads. You will then rappel down 500 feet to the water’s edge. There are two stages to the rappel, the first being the wettest and most slippery, but also the most fun. The second stage is slightly easier. There are three guides to help with your descent and to ensure, that you have fun and remain safe at all times. If you are an avid hiker, a thrill seeker or an adventurous explorer, this is the tour for you. This tour takes about 4 hours to complete. |
