Sandy Toes Beach Bar (280-0181 or 636-3094) https://www.facebook.com/SandyToesBelize/ Located just South of Wayo's, Sandy Toes is a great spot where locals, expats and tourists mingle. It is also one of the more friendly bars and a great spot to find good bar food (their ceviche is amazing!). They have chairs out on the beach where you can dip your toes in the sand while enjoying your drink. They also offer different live music entertainment options during the week (and on special occasions they will bring in a guest DJ's), as this usually appeals to a younger crowd and soon becomes a full-blown beach party. Wayo's Beach Bar (226-2035) https://www.facebook.com/wayos.bar Not too long ago they moved Wayo's from the beach to the dock in front of their old location, so now you get to sit right over the water. The new Wayo's is newer and bigger, plus they now sell bar food. Here you will find a great mixtue of locals, expats and tourists. They have TV's to watch the game and on Sunday nights they do live music. The staff is very friendly, which is definitely a plus in my book. Wednesday's - Live Music (7:00 to 10:00 p.m.) Sunday's - DJ' Music (7:00 to 10:00 p.m.)
Beach Bars - South
Toast - Beach Bowling Cozy Coconuts (previously known as "Island Time"), is a bar/restaurant on the water, and has a bowling alley set up on the beach. This is a very unique experience, that you will only find on a tropical island. The best time to go is on a calm day, with very little wind. The wind makes it hard for the pins to stay up. Kids really enjoy this activity.
