DEEP SEA FISHING IN BELIZE
Enjoy deep sea fishing with the best. We can troll several lines at the same time, and we mainly go for billfish (Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish), Wahoo, Dolphin-fish, Tuna, King Mackerel and Black Grouper.
Because our Barrier Reef is less than half a mile from the shore and runs parallel to our island, Ambergris Caye, you can be Deep Sea Fishing in minutes. Belize Deep Sea Fishing is usually done beyond the reef, in the deep blue waters of the Caribbean Sea. Deep Sea Fishing can also be done offshore in the Atolls of Turneffe and Lighthouse Reef which are South of Belize and takes some time to get there.
Sailfish, Blue Marin, Wahoo, Dorado, Black Fin Tuna, King Mackerel, Sharks, Grouper and Barracuda are common fish that would be baited to the catch in the deep waters beyond our barrier reef. Some fish are easier caught at certain times of the year.
Deep Sea Fishing requires a certain amount of patience and a steady stomach to ride the waves, but none the less it is very exciting. Just imagine riding the waves of the Caribbean Sea in a boat, in the tropical sunshine, sipping a beer, waiting for the pull on the line...
